1) サッカー：バーゼルサッカークラブ新スイスチャンピオン
Football: FC Basle new Swiss Champion
Fussball: FC Basel neuer Schweizer-Meister (Sun. 11.05.2008 Smi)

バーゼルサッカークラブが最後の決定的な試合で、ベルンのチーム、ヤン
グボーイズに2対0で勝った。「フィナリッシマ」と呼ばれた同試合は、バ
ーゼルのザンクト・ヤコブ・パーク競技場で、満場の観衆、3万8,015人の
前で行われた。バーゼルのチームはこれにより、12回目のスイスチャンピ
オンとなった。バーゼルは2008年4月6日にスイスカップにも勝利している。
バーゼルサッカークラブは13分と23分に得点し、対戦相手より明らかに優
れていた。試合後、新スイスチャンピオンとなったバーゼルサッカークラ
ブは市中心部で、3万人のファンに歓呼で迎えられた。

The Football Club FC Basle won the last and decisive match against the team
of the <BSC Young Boys> (Berne) with a score of two against nil (2:0). The
match, the so-called <Finalissima> took place at the stadium <St.
Jacob-Park> in Basle attended by 38,015 on-lookers (all tickets were
sold-out). The team from Basle won the title of Swiss Football Champion for
the twelfth time; the footballers from Basle had won the title of Swiss
Football Cup already on April 6, 2008. The goals for the FC Basle were
achieved already on the 13th and 23rd minutes and the team from Basle was
definitely better. Following the match, the new Swiss Football Champion was
celebrated enthusiastically by 30,000 supporters at the City center of
Basle.

Der Fussball Club FC Basel gewann im letzten und entscheidenden Spiel gegen
die Mannschaft von BSC Young Boys Bern mit 2:0 Toren. Das Spiel, die
so-genannte <Finalissima> fand im ausverkauften Stadion St. Jakob-Park in
Basel vor 38 015 Zuschauern statt. Die Mannschaft aus Basel wurde damit zum
12. Mal Schweizer Fussball-Meister; die Basler hatten bereits am 6. April
2008 den Schweizer Fussball-Cup gewonnen. Die Tore fuer den FC Basel fielen
bereits in der 13. und 23. Minuten und die Mannschaft aus Basel war klar
besser. Im Anschluss an das Spiel wurde der neue Schweizer Fussball-Meister
von seinen 30 000 Fans in der Innenstadt begeistert gefeiert. (Quelle:

いわゆる「キャノンボールレース」（組織された違法の路上カーレース）
をしていた9人の外国人グループがチューリヒで警察に止められ、逮捕さ
れた。グループは中国人、カナダ人、イギリス人、アメリカ人からなり、
年齢は36歳から59歳。レースに使用していた車は、高級車のランボルギ
ーニ、アストン・マーティン、フェラーリなどで、ミラノから来て、パ
リ、ロンドンに行く途中であった。路上を時速197キロで走り、事故が起
きなかったのは偶然に過ぎない。最高100万フランの罰金か1年の禁固刑
が課せられることになる。

A group of nine foreign motorists, which conducted a so-called
<Cannonball-Race> (an organized, illegal, road race) could be stopped and
arrested by the police in Zurich. The group consisted of persons with
residence in China, Canada, Great Britain and the USA; the group came form
Milan and were in transit to Paris and London. They drove luxury sports cars
of the brands <Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Ferrari etc.>; the speeding
motorists are at the age between 36 and 59 years old. They drove at a speed
of up to 197 km/h (km per hour); it is only luck that no accident occurred.
Based on the traffic law, the men are expected to get penalties of up to a
maximum of SFr. 1 Mio. or prision sentence of up to one year.

Eine Gruppe von neun auslaendischen Autofahrern, welche ein so-genanntes
<Cannonball-Rennen> (ein organisiertes, illegales Strassenrennen)
durchfuehrten, konnten von der Polizei in Zuerich angehalten und verhaftet
werden. Es handelte sich um Personen mit Wohnsitz in China, Kanada,
Grossbritannien und den USA; die Gruppe kam von Mailand und sie waren
unterwegs nach Paris und London. Sie fuhren Luxus-Sporwagen der Marken
Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Ferrari usw.; die <Raser> sind im Alters zwischen
36 und 59 Jahren. Sie fuhren Geschwindigkeiten von bis zu 197 km/h (pro
Stunde); es ist Zufall, dass es zu keinem Unfall kam. Die Maenner erwarten

3) ローザンヌ：生命を救うストロー

ローザンヌの「ヴェスターガード・フランドセン」社は、命を救うことが
できる革新的な製品を開発した。その一つは「ライフストロー」と名付け
られたストローで、汚い水を飲み水に変えることができる。排水路から流
れる水は99.999％、寄生虫、バクテリア、ウイルスなどに汚染されている。
ストロー型浄水器である同製品は、すでに30万個売られている。主に赤十
字や非政府組織（NGO）が買い、配布している。「ライフストロー」は700
リットルの水を洗浄することができ、しかもエネルギーを必要としない。
同社はこのほど「ワールド・チェンジング・アイデア」賞を受賞した。

The enterprise <Vestergaard Frandsen> with headquarters in Lausanne develops
innovative products that can save lives. One of them is the drinking straw
with the name <LifeStraw>; by the use of that drinking straw dirty water can
be conditioned (purification) to potable water. After the passage of the
water, 99,999% of the parasites, bacterium and virus are destroyed. More
than 300,000 water filters were already sold; the products are purchased by
the Red Cross and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) and then distributed.
<LifeStraw> does the purification of 700 liters of water and needs no energy
for that. The entrepreneur was recently awarded with the <Award for World
Changing Ideas>.

Das Unternehmen <Vestergaard Frandsen> mit Sitz in Lausanne entwickelt
innovative Produkte welche Leben retten koennen. Eines davon ist der
Strohhalm mit dem Namen <LifeStraw>; mit dem <Trinkhalm> kann schmutziges
Wasser zu Trinkwasser aufbereitet werden. Nach dem Durchfluss des Wassers
sind 99,999% der Parasiten, Bakterien und Viren vernichtet. Bereits wurden
ueber 300 000 Wasserfilter verkauft; die Produkte werden vom Roten Kreuz und
Nicht-Regierungs-Organisationen (NGO) gekauft und nachher verteilt.
<LifeStraw> reinigt 700 Liter Wasser und benoetigt keine Energie. Der
Unternehmer wurde kuerzlich mit der Auszeichnung <Award for World Changing

「スイスコム」の広報によれば、ブロートバンドネットワークの故障のた
めに、スイス全土でいくつかのインターネットへの接続が阻害された。
2008年5月5日、月曜日の夕方からインターネットに「ログイン」できなく
なった。すべての「インターネット・プロヴァイダー」の顧客がこの「中
断」に見舞われ、原因も中断がどのくらい続くのかという情報も得られな
い状態であった。翌日、火曜日には故障が直ったようで、接続が可能にな
った。（注：先週の第383号WSNHはこのために遅配となった。T.H.）

According to a spokesman of the telecommunication enterprise <Swisscom>, a
number of Internet connections nationwide were affected by a disruption of
the broadband network. Users could not <log in> into the network on Monday
evening May, 5 2008. Customers of all <Internet providers> were affected by
the problem; further information regarding to cause and length of the
problem (interrupt) was not available. The problem was apparently resolved
the next day (Tuesday). (Comment T.H.: The last edition of WSNH (No. 383)
was affected by that event and delivered with delay).

Gemaess Angaben eines Sprechers von <Swisscom> waren einige
Internet-Anschluesse in der ganzen Schweiz von einer Stoerung im
Breitband-Netz betroffen. Benutzer konnten sich am Montagabend dem 5. Mai
2008 nicht in das Netz <einloggen>. Es waren Kunden von allen
<Internet-Anbietern> betroffen; naehere Angaben zu Ursache und Dauer des
Problems (Unterbruchs) waren nicht erhaeltlich. Das Problem war anscheinend
am naechsten Tag (Dienstag) behoben. (Anmerkung: Die letzte Ausgabe von WSNH

5) ル・トン紙盲人版を発行
Newspaper <LeTemps> mit issue for blind persons
Zeitung <LeTemps> mit Publikation fuer Blinde (Wed. 07.05.2008 Smi)

ジュネーヴのフランス語の主要日刊紙「ル・トン」は将来盲人向けの日刊
紙を発行する。ル・トン紙の聴覚版は耳の不自由な人向けに毎日発行され、
更に特大文字と点字による新聞も製作される。前述の3種類の企画はスイス
盲人連盟が協力して実施する。スイスのドイツ語圏では聴覚版の新聞は既

The well-known French-speaking daily newspaper <LeTemps> with headquarters 
in Geneva is going to publish a special issue for blind people of their 
newspaper. The <audio newspaper> (issue) of <LeTemps> will be delivered to 
visually impaired people daily. Besides, the newspaper produces issues which 
are using particularly big characters and the embossed printing. The 
mentioned three projects are conducted in co-operation with the Swiss 
Association for the Blinds- and visually impaired people. In the German 
part, there are already several newspapers publishing so-called <audio 
newspapers> (issues) for the blinds.

Die bekannte franzoesisch-sprachige Tageszeitung <LeTemps> mit Sitz in Genf
gibt in Zukunft ihre Tageszeitung in einer Version fuer Blinde heraus. Die
<Hoer-Ausgabe> der <LeTemps> wird sehbehinderten Menschen taeglich
zugestellt. Ueberdies produziert die Zeitung Ausgaben mit besonders grossen
Schriftzeichen und in der Blindenschrift. Die erwaehnten drei Projekte
werden zusammen mit dem Schweizerischen Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverband
durchgefuehrt. In der deutschen Schweiz geben bereits mehrere Zeitungen

6) 不信なインターネットスパイが日常化！
Perfidious Internet-spying in everyday life!
Hinterhaeltige Internet-Spionage im Alltag! (Sat. 10.05.2008 Smi)

連邦政府の職員500名が昨年末不信なコンピューターハッカーの攻撃に遭っ
た。彼らは個別に連邦政府から電子メールで写真コンテスト参加に誘われ、
このメールの中のリンク先をクリックするよう書かれていた。メールの受
信者はその後自分のPCにダウンロードするスクリーンセーヴァーの写真を
一つ選ぶ事が出来た。素人には問題が無いように見えるが、連邦政府の情
報技術の担当部署では警鐘が作動した。連邦国家公務員はスクリーン・セ
ーヴァーとその種のソフトウェアをコンピューターにインストールする事
は禁じられている。電子メールと発信者、そしてウェブページが改ざんさ
れ、オリジナルと実にそっくりの複製が或るアフリカの国のサーヴァーか
ら発信されていた。その後スクリーンセーヴァーを介して連邦政府にトロ
イの木馬が侵入した。IT技術者は1時間以内にこのリンクを削除する事が
出来た！これは外国か企業あるいは犯罪組織のスパイ行為だったのか？今
のところ真相は未だ不明だ！インターネットと電子メール（リンク）に関
しては、充分な注意深さと健全な疑い深さが求められている！！

500 employees of the Swiss Federal Administration in Berne became the victim 
of a <perfidious> <Computer-Hacker-Attack> at the end of last year. They 
received a personally adressed E-Mail from a <Federal Administration Office> 
asking them to participate in a photo contest; they were asked to click on 
the Link supplied in the E-Mail. They could select one photo for the contest 
which was down-loaded as <screen saver> on their own personal computer 
afterwards. That sounds harmless for the (naive) layperson; on the level of 
the Federal IT-responsibles, the alarm was activated. For Federal employees 
it is FORBIDDEN to install <screen savers> and suchlike items on their 
computers. The E-Mail, the despatcher and the website was fake; it was an 
extraordinary good <copy> of the original, which was launched from a 
<Server> located in an African state. Afterwards, the Swiss Federal 
Administration was infiltrated by so-called <Trojan horses> using the 
<screen saver>. The IT-experts could disarm (kill) the Link within one hour! 
It was a spying attack; by another state, enterprise or a crime 
organization? That is presently not yet known! Regarding to the Internet and 
E-Mails (Links), there is a high alertness and a healthy distrust 
requested!!

500 Mitarbeiter der Schweizer Bundesverwaltung wurden Ende Jahr das Opfer
eines <perfiden> <Computer-Hacker-Angriffs>. Mit persoenlich adressiertem
E-Mail eines <Bundesamtes> wurden sie ersucht an einem Foto-Wettbewerb
teilzunehmen und dazu auf den im E-Mail vorhandenen Link zu klicken. Sie
konnten ein Bild auswaehlen, welches dann als <Bildschirm-Schoner> (screen
saver) auf den eigenen Computer heruntergeladen wurde. Fuer den <Laien>
toent dies harmlos; bei den Informatik (IT)-Verantwortlichen des Bundes
loeste dies Alarm aus. Den Angestellten des Bundes ist es VERBOTEN
<Bildschirm-Schoner> und dergleichen auf dem Computer zu installieren. Das
E-Mail, Absender und Webseite waren gefaelscht; es handelte sich um eine
hervorragende <Kopie> des Originals, welches auf einem <Server> in einem
afrikanischen Staat aufgeschaltet war. Danach wurde die Bundesverwaltung
ueber den <Bildschirm-Schoner> mit so-genannten <Trojanischen Pferden>
infiltriert. Die IT-Experten konnten den Link innerhalb einer Stunde
unschaedlich machen! Es handelte sich um einen Spionage-Angriff; eines
anderen Staates, eines Unternehmens oder einer kriminellen Organisation?
Dies ist derzeit noch unbekannt! Im Internet und bezueglich E-Mails (Links)
ist hohe Wachsamkeit und ein gesundes Misstrauen erforderlich!!

7) ドライアイスの洗浄技術

ドライアイスの技術による洗浄法は米国とドイツでは15年以上前から知ら
れている。だが、この革新的な技術はスイスでは新しく、ほんの数年前か
ら数社で利用されているだけ。ドライアイスによる洗浄は効率が良く環境
にも優しい。スイス企業「アイス・クリーン株式会社」のこの洗浄システ
ムにはスイスでも大変将来性がある。応用分野には例えば電子設備、ター
ビン、ベルトコンベヤー、飲食店、記念碑の手入れ、木、壁等がある。

The cleaning method using the dry ice technology is known in the USA and in 
Germany already for more than 15 years. That innovative technology is 
however in Switzerland new and it is used only since some years and by few 
enterprises. The cleaning with dry ice is however efficient and eco-
friendly. Regarding to the Swiss enterprise <Ice Clean Ltd.> that 
cleaning method has a <major future> in Switzerland too; it is applied e.g. 
in the field of the cleaning of electronic facilities, turbines, belt 
conveyors, in the gastronomy, preservation of ancient monuments, wood, walls 
etc.

Das Reinigungs-Verfahren mit der Trockeneis-Technologie ist in den USA und
in Deutschland seit ueber 15 Jahren bekannt. Diese innovative Technologie
ist hingegen fuer die Schweiz neu und sie wird erst seit einigen Jahren
sowie bei wenigen Unternehmen eingesetzt. Das Reinigen mit Trockeneis ist
jedoch effizient und umweltfreundlich. Fuer das Schweizer Unternehmen <Ice

保険会社は新規顧客の開拓にしのぎを削っている。ヴィンタートゥール社
は環境に優しい車を運転する顧客には特別割引で報いている。二酸化炭素
の排出量が少ないエコロジーな自家用車の所有者は賠償責任保険と車両保
険（損害）の保険料を20%まで割引される。二酸化炭素の排出量が1kmにつ
き120gより少ないと20%の割引になり、140gまでなら15%の割引を受けられ
る。例えば、トヨタ・プリウスの場合、二酸化炭素の排出量が104g/km、
顧客は5年間で1,074.25スイスフラン割引してもらえる。他の保険会社も
エコカーには同様の割引をしている。

There is a severe competition in the insurance business for <prospect/new 
customers>. The insurance company <Winterthur> rewards customers with a 
premium discount when they drive eco-friendly cars. Car owners which drive 
ecologically, that means drive a car with less CO2 output receive a premium 
discount of up to 20% on their car liability and damage insurance. Less than 
120 gramms CO2 per kilometer produces a discount of 20% and up to 140 gramms 
one of 15%. One example: car: Toyota Prius, 104 g/km CO2 output; the 
customer saves SFr. 1,074.25 in five years thanks to the special discount. 
Other insurance companies offer discounts for ecological vehicles too.

【 Japan Travelogue 2007  / 2007年日本旅行談】

No. 23: We made once a round tour around the campus where we were explained 
and introduced the different kind of wooden materials used for making 
furniture and other items at the Oak Village. The show room of the Oak 
Village offers an interesting inside view into the marvelous handicraft 
skill of the carpenters at the Oak Village. Kiyomi village is located on an 
altitude of around 800 meters; that's why in the evening and during the 
night, you feel the cool autumn freshness of September. Our workshop 
finished by doing the lacquering of our wooden items. Then, we had to leave 
the things (stool, letterbox and chopsticks) for one day to let it dry up. 
Fortunately, our suitcase was large enough, to pack the wooden stool in it.

オークヴィレッジで家具やその他の製品の製作に使われる様々な木材の説
明を受けながら敷地内見学した。オークヴィレッジのショールーム内には
素晴らしい技能の木工製品が展示されていた。清見村は標高800mのところ
にあるので、夕方や夜間は9月でも秋の冷気が感じられる。我々の講習会は
木工品の仕上げ塗りで終了した。その後、製作した作品は乾燥の為1日置い
て置く。幸い我々のスーツケースは製作した品々を納める充分なスペース

4月29日ドイツのメルケル首相がスイスを訪問した。連邦大統領はじめ各
閣僚と懇談したそうだが、懸案の諸問題については格別な進展も無く機嫌
良く到着して、昼食後機嫌良く帰ったと報道された。日本でも隣国の胡錦
濤国家主席を国賓に迎え、5月7日には日中共同記者会見が行われた。率直
な印象は、こちらも懸案問題にさしたる進展は見えず、福原愛ちゃんと卓
球をしてパンダを又貸す（賃料年間1億円とか）約束をするだけに来たよ
うに見えた。中国にも付き合う隣人は居る事を示したかったかのように。
いずこも大国隣国との付き合いは、はっきりさせない方が良いと言う事か
